River Sleepsack

River is a versatile sleepsack that comes in two views. View A has long sleeves, and both neckline and sleeves are finished with thick ribbing, which keeps the warmth in and lets your baby have a night of cozy sleep. View B is perfect for warmer weather or warm sleepers - it is sleeveless and has a slightly wider neckline. Both views are fully lined, but feel free to skip the lining altogether for a lighter sleepsack and an easier sew. Both views have a zipper opening, which makes getting the baby in and out a breeze. Make view A in cozy flannel for winter or view B in lightweight cotton gauze for summer.

Sewing Level: Intermediate

Sizes: XS (under 6m) - XL (over 3T)

Suggested Fabrics: Medium to lightweight woven fabrics such as flannel, cotton, poplin are recommended. Note that gauze can also be used, but it tends to stretch and fray. If using gauze, make sure to staystitch necklines and armholes.

View A requires a small amount of ribbing or a very stretchy jersey for neckband and sleeve cuffs, however, if using jersey choose medium weight (240 gsm +).
